There are a couple of finishes available with a various properties. The durability and life of a finish is dependent on timber selection and environmental exposure. If the sign is indoors or under eaves or a verandah it will last longer between maintenance of the finish.

Available Finishes

  • Outdoor Timber oil is a natural oil product that has UV additives to protect the timber, it does not blister or flake however the sign requires inspection and possibly a maintenance re-coat at yearly to 2 yearly intervals.

  • Polyurethane varnish is applied in 4 thin coats. Is an outdoor based product. However to refinish it will require stripping and sanding back the polyurethane to re-coat or change the finish.
